Orientation - March 14th
The orientations on Saturday mornings have been pushed forward from 9am to 10:30am in order to catch those who like to enjoy a little more sleeping on Saturday mornings. So please adjust your calendars and try to make it to this month's CAT orientation. It is still a free seminar for all residents of Columbia and all members of CAT.
You will learn about how things work here, what's new here, and how you can be involved at your premiere local media outlet.
Channel Change
Effective April 21st, Columbia Access Television will be relocated to channel 85. This change will affect MediaCom customers only. We here at CAT are sad to see that CAT3 will not apply anymore. There has been no definite decision as to how this will affect us in the future but we wanted to let the word out first that as of April 21st you will no longer reach us via MediaCom Channel 3, but on channel 85 instead. Please check back here periodically for any news as well as contact your local cable provider to receive more information regarding this change.
New Switcher!
For those of you who have taken the studio production class you'll be happy to know that we have upgraded our switcher. For those of you who have no idea what a switcher is: it is the device that allows us to "switch" from camera to camera during a studio shoot. This allows for live cuts instead of having to do it entirely in post production.
Please come in and take the tour, take the class, take a look, check out the new switcher in all its glory.
