Meet Our Staff

Andy Neitzert - Station Manager - andy@columbiaaccess.tv

Andy attended Rochester Community and Technical College with in the photography and graphic design programs, before finishing his degree at Brooks Institute of Photography. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Video Production in December, 2007.

During the past few years he has concentrated on commercial film production and documentary filmmaking. He is currently working on two feature-length documentary films in addition to serving as production staff at Columbia Access Television. At CAT, Andy teaches filmmaking classes, maintains the offices, equipment, and studio, and coordinates with volunteers. He is also responsible for public relations and special event planning.

Ryan Walker - Station Manager - ryan@columbiaaccess.tv

Ryan received a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (English, Sociology, History) from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2003.  He became involved at CAT in 2006, producing eleven episodes of 29 Minutes.  He served on CAT's Board of Directors for nine months before joining CAT staff in 2008.  Ryan was the co-creator of Columbia Bandstand and is the producer of SportsTeam.

Ryan schedules all of the programming on CAT.  He teaches Studio and Field Production classes, coordinates volunteers, maintains the facilities and equipment, and updates the website.  Ryan supervises CAT studio shoots, including Notes From Underground.  He is currently at work on two documentaries. 

 

Ted Carstensen - Office Assistant - ted@columbiaaccess.tv

Ted graduated from the University of Missouri in 2009 with Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Studies (Digital Media, Computer Technology). During his final semester at Mizzou, he held an internship at CAT where he assisted with studio shoots and post-production, created animations for several CAT shows, and designed two new CAT courses, the Studio Audio course, and the Digital Effects course.

As the newest member of the CAT staff, Ted is responsible for the checking in and out of CAT equipment as well as maintaining the office and editing suite. He also assists with studio shoots and editing tasks throughout the week and continues to teach the Studio Audio and Digital Effects courses. When he's not working at CAT, Ted works as a freelance graphic, web, and motion designer and heads the sound staff at The Blue Fugue.
