This is a FREE class open to all Columbia residents and organizations. Participants learn about the purpose and history of public access television, access services available at CAT and the policies and procedures of our organization.

Studio B is one of the largest studios in Missouri, and it is yours to use. Every shoot in Studio B is a FREE, hands-on training session. Newcomers are most welcome! Anyone in Columbia can join CAT and be the Director, Audio Engineer, Camera Operator, Graphic Designer of a CAT shoot. Once certified in Studio Production, you can reserve Studio B for your own productions.

Participate in a real on-location shoot. We will be filming community events, including sports, parades, picnics, political forums, live music, and extreme weather!

An open forum hosted by CAT staff. A chance to ask production questions, critique footage, meet other CAT members, etc. Free.

Learn the basics of Final Cut Pro through hands-on training: importing footage, making cuts and transitions, adding music, inserting titles and credits, and exporting for playback on CAT TV. Upon completion of this 3-hour course, you will be certified to use the iMacs in CAT's Editing Suite.

Learn the basics of Adobe After Effects through hands-on training: learn what keyframes and layers are and get comfortable with the interface while learning how to manipulate images with keyframes and effects, mask still and moving images, and how to animate text. Finally, learn how to render your project for use in Final Cut Pro.
